Surprisingly Hulatt is a chemical engineer who has spent thirty years in the nuclear, detergent and petrochemical industries, mostly the latter in a range of engineering research, design and development jobs in both technical and managerial roles. A change of direction means he has more time to focus on the artistic instead of the technical side of his personality, even though he is still in demand as a technical consultant (www.hulattconsulting.com). As well as a range of poems, he has also written a couple of humorous monologues available on this web site for those with the time, inclination and interest to read them.
Malcolm's interests are watching rugby (preferably rugby league), hill walking, art, studying languages and going to the theatre.
